EDICIONES COMPARADAS DE SUPERMAN

Presentamos el ejemplar SUPERMAN 75 de 1952 y la particular interpretación que Novaro hizo de ella, al igual que en los números 2 a 8. La portada de Novaro procede de la colección de mi amigo David Almorza Gomar de Cádiz, España, quien me envió fotocopia en color de la misma.

Este ejemplar fue editado en un principio como SUPERMAN NO.74 por error, siendo una pieza para coleccionistas.

En el interior del mismo viene una página dedicada al anuncio de la primer película para cine de Superman, titulada 'Superman and the Mole Men", protagonizada por George Reeves y Phillys Coates, como Superman y Lois Lane, respectivamente.

El cuaderno, como todos los de la época, lleva tres aventuras del Hombre de Acero, cuyas correspondientes tres 'splash pages' presentamos aquí.

La primera se titula 'La alumna estrella del Bromista', dibujada por Wayne Boring; la segunda 'Superman, vendedor de emociones', dibujada por Al Plastino y la tercera 'El hombre que robaba recuerdos', también dibujada por el artista Al Plastino.

Es una de las pocas portadas, cuyo dibujo es el mismo que el de la 'splash page' de la aventura que representa, en este caso la tercera.

We present SUPERMAN NO.75 from 1952 and the particular interpretation that Novaro made with it, the same that issues 2 to 8. The Novaro cover is from the collection of my friend David Almorza Gomar from Cádiz, Spain, who sent me a color copy of the cover.

This issue was edited at the begining as SUPERMAN NO.74 by mistake, being a piece for collectors.

Inside the issue, comes a page dedicated to the advertisement of the Superman's first movie entitled 'Superman and the Mole Men', starring by George Reeves and Phillys Coates as Superman and Lois Lane, respectively.

The issue, as all ones of that age, comes with three adventures of The Man of Steel, which corresponding three splash pages, we present here, the first one drawn by Wayne Boring, and the second and third ones by Al Plastino.

You can see the titles inside every splash page.

This is one of the few issues in which the drawing of the cover and the corresponding splash page are the same.
