THE BEST COP IN THE WORLD

En la Fortaleza de la Soledad se halla Kandor, ciudad kryptoniana miniaturizada dentro de una botella por el villano Brainiac. Dentro de la botella, en Kandor, se halla Superman junto a Dar-Vamm, comisionado de la policía científica de Kandor.
Superman, llamado allí Kal-El, se encuentra para dar un premio al mejor policía de Kandor llamado Ron-Za, cuando un rayo disparado por un terrorista interrumpe la ceremonia.
Superman se dispone a detener a quien ha disparado pero Ron-Za le detiene recordándole que allí no tiene superpoderes, en cambio él, Ron-Za, está entrenado para hacerse cargo de estos casos.
Efectivamente, el policía consigue detener al terrorista sin que nadie salga herido. Superman le felicita y después vuelve a su Fortaleza recuperando su tamaño normal.
Más tarde, Clark está paseando con Lois por las calles de Metropolis cuando oyen y ven un avión incendiado y fuera de control que va a caer sobre las calles de la ciudad. Clark no sabe qué hacer pero en eso aparece una figura volando que rescata el avión.
Clark pone la escusa de buscar una cabina de teléfono para pasar la noticia al Planet pero en realidad, en un callejón, se transforma en Superman y sale volando hacia donde el misterioso personaje ha depositado el avión rescatado.
Se trata de Ron-Za. Ambos vuelan sobre Metropolis a 50.000 pies de altura y allí Ron-Za le explica que él es mejor policía que Superman y por ello ha decidido salir de la botella de Kandor para proteger Metropolis. Superman le explica que él no está acostumbrado al uso de superpoderes, que a él le costó entrenarse desde que era niño, pero Ron-Za le contesta que eso es porque es un aficionado, en cambio él es un profesional.
En los días siguientes, Clark da la noticia por la TV desde la WGBS-TV y Jimmy Olsen entrevista al superpolicía.
Ron-Za ha declarado sus propias leyes de continua vigilancia sobre la ciudad haciendo caso omiso de los consejos de Superman acerca de la libertad de las personas.
El superpolicía se halla patrullando la ciudad por la noche, cuando ve un brillo en un lugar de desguace de vehículos. Al acercarse para ver qué es, cae al suelo sintiéndose muy débil. Un criminal pagado por el sindicato del crimen había preparado una trampa para Superman con rayos quasar que emiten los faros de un coche mezclado con kryptonita.
Ron-Za, usando superventriloquismo pide ayuda a unos chicos que están jugando por allí, pero éstos al oir la voz del superpolicía le tienen miedo y escapan.
Tendido en el suelo, Ron-Za, piensa que quizás se ha equivocado y Kal-El tenga razón, al ver que los niños le tienen miedo.
El Hombre de Acero se acerca por detrás y chafa el coche desmontando la salida de rayos por los faros. Ron-Za le agradece que le haya salvado la vida y le pregunta a Superman qué puede hacer por él. El Hombre de Acero le contesta que cumpla con su deber y vuelva a Kandor donde se le necesita pues se ha elevado la ola de crímenes desde que se fue.
Ron-Za pregunta por Gabriel, el criminal que le tendió la trampa y Superman le contesta que ya está en una prisión federal. Es por eso que se enteró de donde estaba Ron-Za y pudo ir a salvarle.
Superman se aleja volando diciéndole que tiene trabajo que hacer y Ron-Za le contesta que él también, en Kandor, donde le necesitan. Y para la Tierra, ya hay bastante con un Superman.
In the Fortress of Solitude, there is Kandor, the City in a bottle, miniaturized by the villain Brainiac. Inside the bottle, in Kandor, there is Superman and Dar-Vamm, Comisioner of the Science Police.
Superman, named Kal-El, is going to give a reward to Ron-Za, the best cop in Kandor, when a ray is shooted by a terrorist, interrupting the ceremony.
The Man of Steel is going to arrest the terrorist but is stopped by Ron-Za who reminds Superman that in Kandor does not have super-powers and he has been trained to get this kind of job.
Indeed, Ron-Za arrests the terrorist with no one wounded. Superman felicitates him and afterwards returns to his normal size in the Fortress of Solitude.
Later, Clark is walking with Lois by the streets of Metropolis when they hear and see a plane in fire and out of control that is going to fall down Metropolis. Clark does not know what to do but in this moment appears someone flying, saving the plane.
Clark Kent tells Lois that he is going to look for a telephone booth in order to give the scoop to the Planet, but actually he goes into an alley changing to Superman and going up to where the mysterious flying man has left the plane.
Superman sees that is Ron-Za and flying 50.000 feet over Metropolis, Ron-Za explains that he is a better cop than Superman and that is why he has decided to leave Kandor and defend Metropolis.
The Man of Steel explains to Ron-Za that he is not acostumed to use the super-powers, that he last all his life to learn how to use them, but Ron-Za answers that that is beacause Superman is an amateur, but he is a profesional.
In the following days, Clark speaks about Ron-Za from the WGBS-TV news and Jimmy Olsen interviews the super-cop.
Ron-Za has given his own laws, the continuous vigilance over the city, ignoring the Superman advice about the people freedom.
The super-cop is patrulling the city at night when he sees a brilliant light on a junkyard. Approaching to the light, suddenly, he falls down without energy. A villain payd by the Crime Syndicate had prepared a trick to Superman with quasar rays and kryptonite emited by the headlights of one of the cars.
Ron-Za asks for help using his super-ventriloquism beacause he has seen two boys playing in the junkyard. But when the boys hear the voice of the super-cop, instead of help him, run away frightened.
Lying on the floor, Ron-Za thinks that if the boys are frightened by him, he must has make a terrible mistake and Kal-El was right.
Suddenly, the Man of Steel appears behind the mortal car, crashing it with a punch, avoiding the rays and saving Ron-Za who grateful asks Superman what can he do for him. Superman tells Ron-Za the he must come back to Kandor, when it is needed because a new crime wave is up since the super-cop leaft the bottled city.
Ron-Za asks for Gabriel, the criminal, and Superman tells him that he is yet in a federal prison and that is the way he knew where Ron-Za was.
Superman flies up telling that there is job to do and Ron-Za answers him that he has a job to do too in Kandor, when they need him, and for the Earth there is only one Superman.

Estas dos historias que se puede leer en el comic que lleva incorporado el LP, se oyen con todo lujo de efectos sonoros. No sólo las voces de los personajes, sino el ruido del viento cuando vuela Superman, o el impacto del golpe en el suelo cuando desciende de un n vuelo, el sonido de fondo de las calles, etc., etc., etc..
These two adventures that you can read in the comic and record set, are full of special effects, hearing the wind when Superman flies, when he falls down the floor, the voices of the characters, the background of the streets, and so on.
