Como cada año, en el mes de noviembre aparecen publicados los comics con fecha de portada del mes de enero del año siguiente. Este comienzo de años 2009 viene muy marcado por la saga titulada "New Krypton" que es una continuación de la última saga del año 2008, es decir la del regreso de Brainiac que termina con el salvamento por parte de Superman de la ciudad de Kandor, que como todos sabemos estaba miniaturizada y encerrada dentro de una botella. Sin embargo, el hecho de reataurar el tamaño de la ciudad y liberar a sus habitantes, ha puesto a Superman en un gran aprieto, la presencia de 100.000 kryptonianos con sus mismos poderes en la faz del planeta Tierra.
Sin embargo, esto termina en marzo y los augurios para los fans de Superman no son muy buenos, al menos todos los planes que está haciendo públicos la DC no son muy interesantes. Se habla de quitar a Superman de su revista cumbre "Action Comics" y para mí, de nada sirve que declaren que todo lo que hagan los nuevos héroes reflejarán y recordarán de alguna manera a Superman. Este sólo va a quedar en la revisa de su propio nombre pero en aventuras en el espacio. ¿Será cierto todo esto o nos están llevando de nuevo a un mundo sin Superman, para luego celebrar el regreso. Esto ya se ha hecho con anterioridad varias veces. Yo ya he leído en foros a personas que han expresado mi mismo pensamiento, si Superman no sale en Action Comics, ésta será una revista que no compraremos. El devenir del año nos lo dirá y ahí están las sospechas de si todo esto tiene algo que ver con los problemas judiciales de la DC con la familia de Jerry Siegel.
